Japanese Acupuncture in the tradition of Kiiko Matsumoto, is largely defined by its use of a highly systematized method of palpation; the ability to gain information through touch. Health issues are approached on several levels by combining Classical Chinese medical principles with modern pathophysiology. By looking more deeply into the structural and/or constitutional imbalances, which often underlie a patient’s symptomatic complaints, the practitioner is able to assist in a more complete and lasting healing. As a rule the needling methods are shallow and virtually painless, using the smallest gauge needles. Numerous non-invasive techniques are also used including diodes, magnets, and moxibustion.
Five Element Acupuncture, in the tradition of Lorie Eve Dechar facilitates psychological and psychosomatic healing. It is a creative process in which both practitioner and patient are actively engaged and is organized around traditional Chinese medicine and Taoist alchemical principles and insights. It uses the tools of traditional Chinese medicine as well as active imagination, meditation, visualization, and archetypal imagery to move qi and support transformational processes. Needle techniques are directed at using the minimal amount of stimulation on the most potent points to create the largest effect during a given treatment.
Acupuncture Physical Medicine developed by Dr. Mark Seem utilizes palpation and observation to identify stress induced “holding patterns”. These patterns restrict the movement of energy and will eventually give rise to pain and/or discomfort. Myofascial release techniques of tight tender points are used to help clear energetic blocks in order to improve internal organ functions and the emotional state of the individual.

It is especially well suited to treating the myriad complex and chronic disorders that plague modern medicine; from chronic pain, chronic fatigue, multiple allergies, and stress disorders, to the symptomatic relief of internal medical complaints in the various organ systems of the body.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is sometimes referred to as an Acupuncture Facelift, it is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. It is a safe, effective alternative to plastic surgery, laser treatment, dermabrasion, chemical peels, collagen and botox. It may erase as many as five to fifteen years from the face, with results apparent after just a few treatments. Fine lines may be entirely eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Bags under the eyes can be reduced, jowls firmed, puffiness eliminated, droopy eyelids lifted and double chins minimized. Other likely results include: moisturizing of the skin with increased local circulation of blood and lymph to the face; increased collagen production, muscle tone, and dermal contraction; tightening of the pores; brightening of the eyes; improving of hormonal balance to help acne; reduction of stress evident in the face – bringing out the innate Beauty and Radiance of an individual.

Generally, the course of treatment consists of 12 treatments. The effects become most noticeable and lasting on or about the seventh session. Each person responds differently, depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to treatment. Following the initial course of treatment, maintenance sessions can prolong the results for five to ten years.
